Project Description

stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. We have a STEM lab on campus where students will engage in various hands-on engineering activities and science experiments using mathematical concepts and technology.

Science is the active exploration and study of the environment and the wider world around us. It allows students to interact with materials, objects and living beings, thus helping them to develop inquisitive and inquiring minds. It is our intention to guide the children to develop a sense of wonder in learning about nature and life in connection with God.

Through the study of technology and engineering, students use creative thinking and innovative processes to construct knowledge and develop products. Students communicate and collaborate to reinforce and promote learning. Students develop critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Students practice digital citizenship by behaving responsibly while using technology tools and resources.

Children are directed to use and apply mathematics in practical, real life, problem solving situations. They develop strategies to check accuracy and determine appropriate responses. Children first interact with concrete materials to solidify conceptual understanding, then they are encouraged to visualize responses and operations and finally to record and solve problems.
