Language Development

is fundamental to learning and is integrated through all subjects in the curriculum. By learning language, as well as learning about and through language, we nurture an appreciation of the richness of language and a love of literature. The English curriculum is represented through four strands of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Skills needed to acquire fluency in English are taught to ensure that our children become confident speakers, readers, writers and listeners. Teachers purposefully create engaging lessons which will enhance student learning and at the same time impart values and cultural traditions. Students also learn Sanskrit, an ancient Vedic language, as well as Spanish.
